About bakuba’s designer Tash Higman
Having spent 20 years wearing clothes that didn’t fit me because my waist was a 14 and my hips a 12, I decided women deserve clothes that fit them.
I designed (and keep designing) the bakuba range of women’s business clothes to be timeless classic pieces for your wardrobe. I promise keep each style in the range and not withdraw a style because of changes in fashions. I will update colours as fabrics become (or cease to be) available.
Much of the cost of bespoke dressmaking comes from the time spent by the dressmaker taking your measurements and designing your outfit. As you take the measurements for bakuba clothes and the design is already complete I can make you properly fitting garments in far less time than traditional dressmaking. The bakuba approach gives you the best of both worlds: High Street prices and bespoke fit.
I have been making clothes for myself and others since I was 9 years old and as well as designing and making bakuba clothes, I make and sell Tash Tops and take on occasional traditional dressmaking commissions for Lingard Gardiner.
